Bad weather continues
Comments 0 | Recommend 0LIMA — Heavy snow and strong winds continue to pound Ohio, causing multiple accidents across the state.Several area counties are under snow emergency levels. Allen and Putnam Counties are both under a Level 1 roadway advisory. Roadways are covered with snow and ice with possible drifting snow. Mercer, Hardin and Logan Counties are under a Level 2 snow advisory. Level 2 signifies hazardous roadways with blowing and drifting snow. Drive only if necessary.Hancock County is under a Level 3 snow emergency. No one should be traveling unless absolutely necessary as roads are closed to everyone except police and emergency workers. Area law enforcement agencies are reporting multiple accidents, many occurring on Interstate 75. Troopers from the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol have dealt with at least nine accidents today, with seven of those occurring on I-75, according to a dispatcher. Most have been single-car accidents. Several of these accidents did result in injuries, with victims taken to hospitals in Lima. No further information is available at this time.
