Action needed on rail crossings
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Yet one more untimely and unnecessary death of an innocent person driving, maybe taking the country route of this great country.
Years ago, after another untimely death at a crossroad intersection with a history, I asked Ohio Department of Transportation officials why not put warning bumps like the going-off-the-road kind, prior to high-risk or even every intersection, warning people an intersection is coming?
You see, the loved ones lost last week could have been my loved one, who uses this same route two and three times a day.
If I had not had my husband take the garbage out that day, wasting 10 minutes of his time, I could have been the one crying. I have thanked God every day since.
How about it, ODOT? How about a life-saving fix?
Let's speak up, everyone, and demand something be done. You might be next, and I don't want that.
I lived at a two-school intersection, and have seen this intersection with a stop sign run by cars time and time again. The ones I can stop only say they didn't know one was there.
