Barbara and Jim Fisher

LIMA - Mr. and Mrs. James P. (Jim) Fisher, of Lima, celebrated 50 years of marriage on Aug. 23, 2008. A family gathering was held on July 12, 2008, at Lakeside Cottage, followed by a dinner on July 13, 2008, at Mon Ami on Catawba Island. They are planning a trip to the New England states this fall.
Fisher and the former Barbara McDonel were married Aug. 23, 1958, at First Baptist Church, by the Rev. Howard E. Bloom.
They are the parents of four sons, John H. (Debra) Fisher and Richard J. (Darlene) Fisher, both of Lima, Daniel E. (Laura) Fisher, of Louisville, Ky., and David (Amy) Fisher, of Miamisburg; and two daughters, Christina (Willem) Gadiano, of Reston, Va., and Amy (Dave) Hutchins, of Lima. They have 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Fisher is an attorney at Fisher, Vandemark & Fisher Law Firm. His wife is a homemaker and volunteered for Lima City Schools, Lima Memorial Hospital, Sigma Beta Sorority and St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
