Hefner hired for UNOH Event Center
The University of Northwestern Ohio recently appointed Carlyn Hefner as its UNOH Event Center Manager.
Hefner will be the primary contact for Event Center clients. Her responsibilities include scheduling all bookings for activities on the event center property, event preparationsand supervising all Event Center employees.
Hefner has more than 10 years experience in wedding event planning in Lima and Columbus, and she served as a judicial assistant for Judge William Lauber in Lima Municipal Court for 21 years.
Kreuchauf joins Community Foundation
Katherine T. Kreuchauf will take over as the new president of The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation in mid-September, the board of directors announced.
Kreuchauf replaces long-time president Barbara Deerhake, who retires this fall after 21 years.
Kreachauf was the president of the United Way of Delaware County. She will lead the group to ensure its achievements, financial viability and long-term growth and stability. The group tries to address key social and economic needs in Hancock County. The foundation gave out $2.7 million in grants in 2007.

Tuttle hits 500,000 hours without accident
Tuttle Construction celebrated 500,000 man-hours without a lost-time accident, as of July 21. It marks the first time since 1995 that Tuttle employees reached the milestone.
The company credited its Worker Initiated Safety Efforts and the companywide safety program instituted by safety director Byron Winner two years ago.
Sales award for Hartsock
Cyndi Hartsock, real estate sales agent with RE/MAX Market Place Realty, has earned the 2008 Ohio Association of Realtors President’s Sales Club Award of Distinction.
It is given to agents who generate $2.5 million or more in sales volume. Hartsock has been a sales agent since 2001 and joined RE/MAX Market Place Realty upon its opening in downtown Lima in 2007.
Seven join Fanning/Howey associate list
Fanning/Howey Associates Inc., in Celina, appointed seven new associates. The associate program acknowledges professional and technical personnel in major roles of responsibility to clients, leadership and project
Marlene A. Abels, of Coldwater, is an administrative coordinator with 30 years experience. A 10-year firm employee, she is responsible for preparation of contracts, reports, invoices and other documents.
Stephan C. Howick, of Muncie, Ind., is a three-year employee. He has served as a project managed and designer for dozens of projects.
Elizabeth “Lisa” K. Schulze, of Wapakoneta, is a five-year employee. She works with project teams to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structures and renovations.
Shannon M. Schiweterman, of St. Henry, has eight years experience. She develops project designs, classroom layouts and construction documents.
Jan K. Severt, of St. Marys, handles schedules, travel arrangements, invoicing and clerical functions. She is an eight-year employee.
Matthew N. Sudhoff, of Coldwater, has been with the firm for three years as a mechanical designer. He works with HVAC design for educational facilities and LEED building and geothermal system designs.
David Sundersingh, of Celina, is office construction coordinator and a 10-year firm employee. He is responsible for review of project shop drawings.

CSS Publishing chooses David Runk
CSS Publishing named David Runk as its president, former president Wesley T. Runk announced. Wesley T. Runk continues as the company’s chief executive officer.
David Runk, of Lima, recently served as head of CSS Publishing’s Fairway Press self-publishing division and as sales manager of its commercial printing and books on demand divisions.

Midwest Electric members donate $13,300
Midwest Electric Inc. members donated $13,300 to eight area charities and community projects through the cooperative’s Community Connection Fund. The fund has provided $499,091 to 342 area projects since 1998.
The West Ohio Food Bank, of Lima, received $3,800 to fund maintenance repairs.
Equestrian Therapy Program, of Cridersville, received $2,00 to provide equine activites for the disabled.
The Auglaize County Visiting Nurse Associated received $2,000 to purchase home health care products.
Family Care Options, of Celina, received $1,500 to purchase a computer and copier for the organization to assist families with a member with physical or mental disabilities.
Mercer County American Red Cross received $1,500 to buy a laptop computer and projector.
SOURCES Community Network Services, of Celina, received $1,000 to help fund an emergency housing program for the homeless.
Auglaize County Mental Health Association received $1,000 to help support a mental health counseling program at the jail.
Pregnancy Life Center, of Van Wert, received $500 to buy a copy machine.
